Alocasia Frydek – Picture shows in a 4″ nursery pot
Light: Medium – Bright
Water: 10 – 15 Days
Pet Friendly: No
Alocasia frydek thrives in medium to bright indirect light. You can also grow them in low light. However, the growth of the plant will be slower and watering will be less frequent. Please let the top 1 inch of the soil dry between watering. The watering is somewhat between 10 – 15 days as every house is different in terms of heat, humidity, and light. It is highly recommended to use room temperature water to water your plants as we do not want to shock the roots with hot or cold water. Alocasias are tropical plants and love high humidity. A regular misting will make the plant very happy and healthy.
The Alocasia frydek is a beautiful houseplant featuring long green velvety leaves with bright cream color veining that are shaped similar to an arrowhead. This plant is native to Southeast Asia. When mature, Alocasia Frydek will reach a height of 2-3 feet when kept indoors. With the proper growing condition and care, this is a fairly easy houseplant to successfully grow indoors.
